Auriga
The star El Nath is beta Tauri, Taurus' horn as it is described by Ptolemy: «it is the star on the tip of the northern horn and it is the same star as the one in the right foot of Auriga». In this case, as well as in the case of Sagittarius, Almagest's description seems reversed, as if the stars were seen from the outside of a solid sphere. Bayer, who represents the sky as it appears to oneÕs sight, places the El Nath rightly in the left foot of Auriga.
